So, I mentioned earlier that I had destroyed a camera tripod and a bread machine.

Over the weekend, Dad ripped a large hole through a step in front of the shed in the back yard. I told him that I thought there was some rotten lumber there, and nobody got hurt when it gave way, so that's all good, but there's now a big gaping hole in the step that I'm going to have to repair in the short term, and probably rebuild the whole thing in the longer term. Or the very long term, get rid of the shed altogether. But that's several years out, and I really need to fix the step in the next few days.

Also, today when I went out to get my mail, I noticed that the "outgoing mail" flag had fallen off. Or been torn off. Or just lept to its doom on its own suicidal volition. I think I managed to snap it back into place - we'll see if it survives.

I think I'm going to get a replacement bread machine next week.
