Windows EXE

The game now starts off with an ad pitch by Woody Tigerbaum, takes you to a menu, lets you play the game, and takes you back to the menu. Good stuff.

Also, music.

Error?

(Link)
"The specified module could not be found. LoadLibrary(pythondll) failed"

Um, was it something I did?

Yep... tried playing it from the zip instead of saving it to my HD.

Nope. "Errors occurred. See the logfile [location...] for details"

Log contents:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "woodys_marbles.py", line 2, in ?
File "main.pyc", line 153, in main
NameError: global name 'fsmMgr' is not defined

FYI the logfile is not named the same as what it indicated it would be in the error message.

Aha - yeah, I'll bet you get that error if you switch away from the window.

I'll have a fixed version up in a few minutes.

Thanks for trying it!

Heh, it's too bad that work has to impinge on gaming. :)

I don't (yet) have a way to turn the music off, but fortunately, I don't have obscenities riddled throughout the music.

I'm uploading a new version that should handle the window-switching better, but it's got a new screen that could be a little confusing - from the main menu, you press "play", and you get a bunch of colored circles - it's not yet clear that these correspond to different levels you can play, but that's coming in time. Most of the levels are identical right now, but as I finish adding features, I'll get down to tuning the levels to make them interestingly different.

Ok, the upload's finished: http://media.pyweek.org/dl/5/BDG_07_09/woodys_marbles_e_070905a.zip
