A title that is bound to excite imagery.

It's now 48 hours or so since I had that pit of my stomach dread discovering somebody had been in my place.

As long as I'm focusing on other things, I'm mostly OK. At the end of the day, as I'm winding down and preparing for bed, that's when the creepiness sets in.

Either that, or I'm coming down with something.

However, just to share the perversely exciting CSI-ish bit of this whole experience, here's a picture of one of the games that was taken and retrieved. Since it was still in the shrinkwrap, Deputy Casey was able to dust for prints. You can see the dust (and some smudgy bits that might be prints, I guess). He was at the tail end of the roll of tape, so I have the spindle of a roll of fingerprint lifting tape as a souvenir.

While I've never had anyone break into my place (that I know of), I'm always skittish after dark when I'm home by myself. Always.

In fact, when I was a kid and still living at home (as kids do), I'd often go to bed after everyone else and have to climb two flights of stairs from the basement to the bedroom. I got creeped out almost every night and would runrunrun as fast as I could up the stairs. And usually only be able to fall asleep providing the light in my parents' room was still on.

I'm such a wimp.
