new and exciting
Well. I have accepted a new job.

I've written up an official letter of resignation and handed it to two of the three people that need to see it. Well, to the one person that truly NEEDS to see it, and there are two more people who deserve to have the courtesy.

Last day here, the 30th. First day at the new gig, the 5th.

Whee.

Did the letter include lines like:

"You suck. I'm outta here."

Or was it more like:

"It is with no small measure of regret that I must tender my resignation."

Or:

"You better watch your backs, that's all I have to say..."

The letter was professional - I wish you all success in future endeavors, that kind of thing. I've been complimented on my resignation letters, I kid you not.

When the head of the studio got it, he said "you'll be back. And I'll give you a nice office this time". I like the fact that I'm leaving on good terms. I'm not going to go to any effort to dispel his illusions that I'll be back, though.
