[Link] | You called me last night on the telephone And I was glad to hear from you cause I was all alone. You said "It's snowing, it's snowing God, I hate this weather" Now I walk through blizzards just to get us back together.

All we get down here is monsoon season. Sigh. What I wouldn't give for a legit snow day, especially since the DirecTV installer said the signal would cut through a blizzard with our line of sight... ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/3204688/796561) | From: | tsmaster |

Actually, I love it, and working from home on the first day of snow is delightful.
Tonight's the company party, and tomorrow I have to go into Seattle for a daylong meeting, neither of which I'm particularly relishing the drives for. But otherwise, yay snow! Oh thank goodness you've got it instead of me!!
It snowed about an inch on Thanksgiving, and the weather man says I could be getting 3 inches tonight (yeah right) but, we'll see. Personally, I could do with out the snow right now, cause with my luck the school would close and I'd have to waste a vacation day to stay home with brat boy. I'm not sure how much we have so far - maybe two inches? It's enough to turn the whole scene into a charming winterscape, but not yet enough to hide the fact that I should have mowed a few more times last fall. Ah the joys of parenthood -- slave labor when it comes to yard work. Brat boy actually has quite a green thumb, he planted roses and a tomato garden last spring. He mowed the yard every two weeks, and he raked up leaves without being asked to (of course he was doing it for movie time, he does a major chore and we go see movies). I had a similar deal with myself over Thanksgiving - I wouldn't let myself go see "Good Night and Good Luck" before I raked the front yard. And now, I'm glad that it is raked, because I can ignore it for the next 6 months or so.
Maybe I'll only ignore it for 4, that'd be progress. |
