lessons learned: a) I need to get out more b) the painful burning sensation's a feature

I don't know if you're tracking the Amazon Customers Vote promotion. It's a thing where you express your interest in one item of a set of choices. After the voting's over, if your preference is the most popular, you enter a drawing to possibly receive a deep discount on that item.

The thing that's interesting to me is that Amazon publishes the odds of winning, tabulated with other things that might happen to you. Getting hit by lightning is something like 2 chances in a million. Dating a supermodel (over the span of a male's lifetime) is one chance in 88,000 - but the odds that you're dating a millionaire is a much more reasonable 215 to 1.

(Hm. I suppose the odds that you're dating a millionaire if you're already dating a supermodel are a little higher.)

Painfully close to the PS3 and the Wii, the chance of contracting hemorrhoids is 25 to 1. I think I'll read a book, instead.
