As I was watching 24 tonight, I caught a glimpse of an ad for the news, talking about a school shooting. It looked a little familiar, and indeed, it was:

Fortunately, it's just property damage, but I don't want the High School I attended to be shown on live TV at night. It's just unflattering.

I'm gonna comfort myself with the thought that I never actually went to *that* school, I went to the one across the bridge with the same name.

And you attended a school at that location with a different name - "Freedom", wasn't it?

For what it's worth, the various parents interviewed said that they believed in the administration, and expected that they'd get to the bottom of the problem, getting back to an expectation of safety at BHS.

I still feel our old high school is as safe as any other in Kitsap County. My daughter may finish out her high school career there if we end up moving that way. I wonder how many of the same teachers are there(if any), almost 20 years later?

Seems strange to refer to it as "our old high school" since it was brank-spankin' new when we went there.
