I'm getting together with a group of non-gamers for an evening of boardgames on Friday. (That might be today for you, but I'll think of it as tomorrow.)
I spent probably two hours going through my Blank White Cards deck to make it appropriate for family play, removing cards that were "mature", or "immature", if you like. I proceeded to edit the rules down for family play (Oh My, indeed) and then I figured that a couple more or less traditional boardgames would complement 1000BWC well, like Set and Apples to Apples.
I had a hard time finding my A2A box, but maybe a half hour of moving my stacks of boardgames around, I finally turned it up, making the total number of games I'm bringing along around a dozen. They won't all get played, and bringing that many games along either makes me the cool crazy bachelor guy, or the boardgame geek.
I'm inclined to put up some of my favorite BWC cards on my web server. Some of them are awfully crafty.
