Today was lazy - I watched two movies with characters named "Lara": Lara Croft: The Cradle of Life, and Good Bye, Lenin.
"Tomb Raider 2" was... well, it was what I expected. And there's a reason I decided not to see it in the theaters.
"Good Bye, Lenin", however, was a lot more enjoyable than I expected. You may not have heard of this one, being a smaller movie (imagine!) with not even a Chris Barrie in the cast. The story follows a family living in East Berlin in 1989. The mother falls into a coma just before the Berlin Wall falls. She comes to 8 months later, but the best medical advice is that excitement could kill her. The son takes extreme measures to maintain the illusion of the German Democratic Republic, with zany madcap antics that, of course, ensue.
The nurse's name is Lara, and she was much cuter than Angelina Jolie.
Bottom Line: "Tomb Raider" was a good computer game in 1996. "Good Bye, Lenin" is a good movie.
