Does anybody remember the kids' craft kits from the early or mid 80s where you made stained glass ornaments from a metal frame and plastic sprinkly bits? Does that sound at all familiar? In my brain, they're right next to the Shrinky Dinks.

Are these still in production?

If so, can I get some with pirates or ninjas? Robots or monkeys? Robot monkeys fighting Pirate Ninjas?

LOVED those. Check your local craft store or five-and-dime; though, truth be told, I haven't seen them since I was in college. I made a whole set of Xmas ornaments...

You might want to try Mary Maxim and the like, as well.

Mmm, melting plastic...

wendywoowho wins - she found this page:

Which reminded me that "Makit & Bakit" was the brand name that was gnawing at the back of my brain.

Try your craft store--Michaels or Joann's or the like. They usually have a child craft area. I haven't seen them in years, but I can't imagine that they wouldn't still make them.

Those stained glass maker things? I know they still exist because we did menorahs for Hanukah last year but I don't know all the types they have. Good luck, though! And tell us what you find?
