Gr.

One of those days where I should probably just stay at home. Scowling and snapping at people who don't deserve it. Doing no work of any benefit to my employers.

Good stuff.

Thanks!

I was toying with letters after being impressed with Scott Kim's "inversions" work several years ago, and stumbled across a version that worked well - legible and not too forced.

Maybe two years ago I rendered an animated version of the logo to underscore the fact that it really is the same both sides up.

And then there was that "Angels and Demons" book by Dan ("Da Vinci Code") Brown which draped a plot around inversions like these. I like mine better than anything in that book. But to each his own.

Okay - a little spooky as I am reading that book right now and said - wow his inversion is actually better then that in the book.

I think you are very talented.

Again, thanks!

I've got to say, though, the ambigram/inversion thing was really just a result of playing around with it until something clicked. I've tried doing other words and haven't been as lucky - rotating or reflecting other words isn't easy to do.

I understand that Scott Kim has a freakish talent for things like this. A friend of mine designed a computer game called "Asheron's Call" and bumped into Scott at a conference. Scott was - on the spot - able to create a fancy calligraphic inversion of "Asheron's Call". Neat trick to be able to do at parties.
