and, in case your local news feed didn't tell you:
Initiative 83, which was Seattle's third chance to revisit the question "Monorail: fancy science fiction mass transit in the sky, or frivolous theme park attraction" passed, meaning another several years of local radio programs playing The Monorail Song from The Simpsons.

Probably a couple more initiatives, too.

Secondly, in a closely watched battle, the Yarrow Point library will not be joining the King County Library system.

Yesterday, I was toying with starting my own political party. I'm currently thinking of starting "The Ninja Party". Ninjas are cool, right? Let me know if you and a couple hundred thousand of your friends are in, we can make this happen.

You know, it's good having you around the Internet, Dave. The existence of a deeply rational conservative, well-grounded in history and cognizant of the concepts of ramifications and precedents, is soothing to me at this time.

I will join the Ninja party provided everyone is forced to wear the hooded black suits. Michelle Mitchener says she's waiting to hear your position on hair-care products.

do we get ginsu knives with this package? do they still make ginsu? and cutting a can, not really that tough to do
